Another weekend, another wedding

Saturday saw the final wedding for Michael and Irene.  We spent an hour on a charter bus heading west(?) for an hour through the beautiful french countryside.  We had rain on the way out, but could see the beautiful stone houses with blue and yellow shutters.  All snugged up right next to the narrow country roads.  It was so perfect, it almost seemed like right out of a movie.

The final ceremony was more about tradition and heritage.  The whole jewish marriage ceremony was led by Michael's Uncle Jerry, and was filled with the back story and basis for the traditions in the ceremony.  All of this was translated into french as we went along.

There were about 120 guests at this party, which was in a  greenhouse/atrium outdoor room that let in light, but protected us from the rain that was still dripping here and there.

The rest is a food/champagne/conversation blur.  Lots of great conversations with people from Malaysia, England, France, Belgium and even Indiana!  All of the food was wonderful and it was lots of fun.  There was Jazz trio, games to earn your table it's place in line for dinner (With Lisapedia at your table, you don't wait long) and games for the bride and groom.  There were also lots of cute slide shows of the wedding couple.
